The London Mathematical Laboratory has signed a new research agreement with the Institute of Physics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City. The agreement includes funding from UNAM for a three-year post-doctoral research position working under the guidance of LML fellow Isaac Pèrez Castillo.
This position has been filled by Dr. Edgar Guzman, a recent recipient of a PhD from the Institute of Nuclear Sciences at UNAM.
Isaac and Edgar will work on various problems in condensed matter physics. Topics will range from the properties of out-of-equilbrium and periodic quantum systems to the behaviour of Majorana fermions. They will also seek to unveil key properties of bi-layer graphene systems
