Benjamin Skjold

Benjamin Skjold joined LML as a research fellow in September 2021. His research focuses on creating simple theory-based models that help us better explain and understand fundamental concepts in economic theory, with a particular focus on human decision-making and insurance. He is further involved in an experimental project in collaboration with the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance that aims to experimentally test the predictions of particular behavioural models from ergodicity economics, as well as explore the multidisciplinary intersection of ergodicity economics and neuroscience.

Benjamin received his master’s degree in mathematical modelling and computation from the Technical University of Denmark and his bachelor’s degree in actuarial mathematics from the University of Copenhagen. During his studies, he specialized in decision Science and Bayesian modelling.
