Rainer was recently nominated for the Fellowship by the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Technical University of Berlin. The Fellowship will support a guest professorship, enabling him to work with scientists of the German Collaborative Research Centre ‘Control of self-organising nonlinear systems’ (SFB910). This is a network of scientific institutions established to support researchers working together within a multidisciplinary research environment.
The fellowship was awarded by the DFG (German Research Foundation) in December 2018. The duration is 8 months, the amount awarded is EUR50,000. The award will also allow Rainer to give a special course to PhD students.
