Ole Peters delivered a set of lectures on economics at the complex systems winter school in Mohali, India. The lectures were based on notes, co-authored with Alex Adamou, that will form the basis for future lecture courses. In 100 pages an economic formalism is developed whose chief difference from mainstream economic theory is the removal of behavioural and psychological assumptions. Preferences are derived using evolutionary arguments, they are considered the explanandum, whereas in mainstream economics they are often postulated and used as the explanans.
