The Road

Ole Peters
LML Resident Fellow
As part of the Science on Screen collaboration between the Santa Fe Institute and Centre for Contemporary Arts, LML Resident Fellow Ole Peters presented The Road, directed by John Hillcoat and adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Cormac McCarthy.
Cormac McCarthy’s uber-dark, heart-wrenching post-apocalyptic tale is translated to the screen in unforgettable fashion. Viggo Mortenson, Charlize Theron, and Kodi Smit-McPhee play members of a family in a world where survival can be the only goal. In his introduction to the film, Peters will discuss issues of time, possibility, and alternate realities.
